Our design & engineering department are experienced in the design of classical and contemporary architecture, traditional masonry, structural engineering design & calculations, fixings, frame systems, curtain walling, post tensioning, exterior and interiors.

All of our design is undertaken using Auto CAD.

Manufacture

In addition to their own fabrication plant, Grants purchase natural stone either as quarry block, slab and finished work from companies worldwide and we can supply any natural stone from any country to any country.

The success of any project is the quality of the finished job and Grants have a long-standing reputation for training and employing only the highest level of stone fixers and masons.

Installation

Professional Management assumes a single point of responsibility for any combination of services.

Grants provide a co-ordination of these services with budgetary and programming control.

Grants send construction supervisors, managers and masons worldwide to train local labour and supervise the construction process.

Correct Stone selection is vital to the success of any stone project. Decisions regarding the selection of a stone involve many factors including the following:

Capacity of the Quarry and its production capacity.
Seasonal quarrying period.

Rough block sizes available, nominal bed heights.

Colour and general visual variation of the stone.
Detailing of the Stonework.

The yield of a quarry can change very quickly so an evaluation of a quarry should be undertaken regularly. Our experienced Geologist based in Carrara, Italy, undertakes quarry evaluations and surveys throughout the world.
